3C ICT is a shared service between Cambridge City Council, Huntingdonshire District Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council. The shared service was established in April 2016 to provide an efficient way of delivering ICT services across the three partner councils.
Our team of 80+ staff provide a range of services from digital development and integration to proactive management and delivery of a full range of ICT services on premise and externally hosted.
We operate an "open-book" approach to the services we deliver which includes openness in financials, priorities, workload and risks management, regularly reporting against agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), performance tracking and industry benchmarking.
As the trusted ICT and Digital partner to the councils, 3C ICT serves the needs of residents, businesses, and visitors throughout the districts.
Our vision is to help the councils to harmonise and optimise their IT systems and services to help them gain the best possible business benefit from their investment enabling self-service, automation, integration and innovation, and doing things at the right time, place, and way. We strive to deliver the ICT and Digital portfolio of services efficiently and effectively across 3 councils, adopting approaches such as "buy once, use three times" to make the best use of the resources available.
We provide advice and guidance on current, new, and emerging technologies to support the change and transformation initiatives across the 3 partner councils. Solutions and services provided are designed to be both environmentally and financially sustainable. These approaches support the councils in realising the combined benefits of working at scale in a local government partnership.
